CBA's Halle Penner Named To All-State Volleyball Team

Halle Penner, a senior member of Corn Bible Academy's state runner-up volleyball team, was recently announced to the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Small West team.

"I realize it is a huge honor to play in the All-State game, but volleyball is a team sport," said Penner. "My team helped me so much this year and I wouldn't have this opportunity without them!"

One of 10 players announced to the team, Penner will play in the all-state game in July 2018. Penner lives in Weatherford and played volleyball all four years of high school in Corn, finishing with an overall record of 96-34.

2017 also marks the third year in a row that a member of the Corn Bible Academy volleyball team has made all-state. Marissa Graf, who now plays for Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas, made all-state during the 2015-2016 season, and Allison Russell, a freshman member of Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s volleyball team, made all-state during the 2016-2017 season.
