CBA Volleyball Advances to State Tournament

The Corn Bible Academy volleyball team won the regional championship in Corn on Thursday after defeating Erick in three sets. With the win, the Lady Crusaders, ranked #1 in Oklahoma in class 3A, secured a spot in the state tournament to commence on Friday.

“The team played well on Thursday and we enjoyed having students and parents there to support us. It’s so much fun to play when the whole gym gets excited with the team,” said Coach Basinger.

CBA enters the state tournament with a 26-5 record. The first round of state will be played at 3:15 at Deer Creek on Friday against Southwest Covenant, and the following rounds will be played in Choctaw on Saturday.

“As we prepare now for state we are excited about our opportunity to honor God as we use the talents and abilities He’s given us,” continued Basinger. “We look forward to the challenge and know that every team there will be bringing their best game, so we will have to bring ours as well.”
