CBA Students Excel at Engineering Fair

CBA Students Excel at Engineering Fair

The Oklahoma Engineering Foundation (OEF) held its annual engineering fair for students in grades 6-12 on February 22 at the Science Museum of Oklahoma.  Students in science classes at Corn Bible Academy chose projects from the eight different categories which included electric motor construction, solar powered drone design, bridge building, Eiffel tower construction, complex machine design, ping pong ball launchers, oil & gas extraction, and rubber band powered vehicles.  CBA science teachers organized and entered over 60 students in the contest, and the students worked on the projects at school and at home.  On contest day the students travelled to Oklahoma City to compete against other schools and the following students placed at the event. Dakota Brewer and Dakota Clayton placed 1st in tower construction.  Reagan Russell and Bradyn Brown placed 3rd in tower construction.  Audrey Spalding, Bailee Brown, and Andre Miller placed 1st in oil & gas extraction. Rosalind Wherritt, Justin Sawatzky, and Garrison Reimer placed 3rd in oil & gas extraction. In the rubber band powered car contest, Brendan Miller placed 2nd. Thank you to the GE Foundation which covered the cost of the event.
