CBA Junior Play March 3

CBA Junior Play March 3

Please tune into the CBA Junior Class play:  The Snow White Variety Show  by Brian D. Taylor, where the audience becomes a live studio audience on the talk show, Real Talk with Fairytale Legends, hosted by Heidi Perbole (Ashli Bradford), where the seven dwarves are her guests, telling the story of Snow White as the Fairytale Players bring it to life right there on the talk show set.  As each new dwarf takes a turn re-telling part of Snow White’s famous story in his or her own unique voice, the players’ re-enactment shifts to match the style and personality of that particular dwarf.  Dwarves appearing as Heidi’s guests are—in no particular order—Weepy (Bailee Brown), Creepy (Olivia Estes with Sara Gaytan as her stand in), Nerdy (Halle Penner), Howdy (Daniel Koscheski), Rowdy (Cody Schmidt), Wordy (Mikayla Nelson) and Bob (Amanda Watson).  At any given moment, depending on who’s telling the story, the story can be any TV show genre— romance, comedy, home improvement show, suspense, western, Shakespearian drama, mystery, cooking show, or blockbuster action movie!  There’s even a “Miss Fairest of Them All” beauty pageant!  All the traditional characters in Miss White’s tale make an appearance including the Evil Queen (Isabella Massoumi) who tries to trick the Huntsman (Garrison Reimer) into offing Snow White (Rosalind Wherritt) in the forest.  The Queen’s evil castle helpers assist her in carrying out her nefarious plan:  Igor (Daniel Rempel), Magic Mirror (Boston Terrell), and guards (Frank Sun and Aldrich Ambrosio).  Of course, the Prince (Layne Gwartney) pops in to save the day, which works out well until a surprise guest (Katherine Bose) shows up in studio.  Other fairy tale characters make guest appearances while the announcer (Andre Miller) works hard to keep the program progressing between each scene and commercial break.  Snow White’s tale culminates in a mad-dash ending of fast-changing genres that sets the record straight on her happily-ever-after, which may or may not be exactly the way you remember it.  We promise, you’ll have no desire to be a changin’ the channel during this comedy performance.  Join us on March 3 for a matinee performance ($3) at 1 pm or the evening showing ($7) at 7 pm.  The Senior Class is providing a pork chop dinner with baked potatoes, corn on the cob, salad, roll and dessert, beginning at 5:00 pm.
